Architects & Designers
The bulk of our work comes from this sector as our survey plans are a natural requirement when redeveloping or redesigning buildings or developing land.
Civils and Infrastructure
Our survey teams have a wealth of experience in a variety of civil engineering disciplines, solving complex mapping issues daily. Our expertise is in the field of large industrial estates, retail parks, highways, energy and nuclear power infrastructure, rivers, waterways, culverts and tunnelling.
Our surveyors at Powers & Tiltman often work hand in hand with commercial construction companies providing various services to them throughout the lifetime of their project.
Property development to Powers & Tiltman’s surveyors is the development of existing, tired and mainly disused buildings. This is further characterised by developers who are taking huge risks on an unknown entity and when work begins, it is imperative that drawings and plans are accurate, that areas requiring further investigation are clearly highlighted and that further or remedial costs are to be kept to a minimum if a profit is to be made on this type of project.
Our teams work extensively in the energy sector finding use for all the services we offer here from setting out cable/pipeline routes to completing topographical surveys of proposed power stations, underground utilities traces for subsurface assessment and external and internal elevations of natural hydro-powered entities.
Health and Education
The team at Powers & Tiltman are used to working around vulnerable adults and children through their expertise in surveying high schools, primary schools and in various healthcare settings.
Powers & Tiltman have gained considerable expertise in helping to breathe new life into derelict buildings and contaminated land and have been involved in some major, iconic urban regeneration projects such as the Liverpool waterfront. We are here to ensure our clients have all the information they need when considering the viability of a proposed urban renewal project.
‘A boundary can change over time and for many reasons. These changes are rarely recorded and can lead to disputes’ - RICS Website February 2018
Petrochemical and Industrial Plants
For clients in the oil refinery industry or with large scale industrial plants, hi tech precision surveying is imperative.
Whilst the Government wonder what to do with our waste, we collaborate extensively with waste disposal clients specialising in all types of waste from land fill to nuclear and anaerobic digester plants. Depending on client requirements we are often called in to carry out volumetrics, ground modelling, cut and fill calculations or monitoring of retaining walls.
